The Wait Is Almost Over: Celebrating Bully Breeds and Their Mixes!

We are thrilled to announce that What a Pittie is officially complete! The book has finished printing, and all pre-orders will be ready for pick-up during the Pittie Party on Saturday, December 6th.

This unique and meaningful project celebrates the true beauty and spirit of pit bull–type dogs, aiming to shift perceptions and challenge the misleading nature of visual identification. Through stunning photography and educational insights, What a Pittie highlights the incredible diversity, charm, and individuality of these dogs.

Originally inspired by the fight to repeal the Pit Bull Ban in Aurora, What a Pittie began as a way to rally the community around these misunderstood dogs. While Aurora has lifted its breed-specific legislation, many cities still enforce unfair laws that target them. Pit bull–type dogs are loyal, affectionate, and intelligent companions who thrive with families, in therapy work, and in service roles.

From day one, this project has been about giving back. Together, we have already donated over $4,000 to rescues and community efforts supporting pit bull–type dogs — and we’re not done yet. With every pre-order, $4 was donated, helping amplify education and advocacy for these incredible dogs.

As a fun and unexpected addition to the project, the 2026 calendar is officially on its way!
Each month features one of our beautiful book pups — celebrating their diversity, charm, and the truth behind who these dogs really are. The calendar also continues our mission of advocating for pit bull–type dogs and pushing back against discrimination and stereotypes.

• $5 from every calendar sold will be donated to dogs in need.
• You can order online or purchase in person at the Pittie Party.

 Over $4,000 in donations from participation in to book supported the Stop Aurora Pit Bull Ban movement and later benefited four local Denver rescues: 

 Pound Pitties, Hobo Care, My Fairy Dawg Mother, and Aurora Animal Shelter.
